It helps if you can include the town or postcode area, roughly what sort of property it is, what's prompted you to get in touch, and how urgent it is. None of it is essential — ring anyway if it's easier.

On jobs over £2,500 we ask for a 25% deposit before starting, which covers materials and scaffolding. That'll be set out clearly on your quotation.
