A local roofer who answers the phone himself
LSE Roofing is run by Liam Edwards from Connah's Quay. Twenty years in the trade, working across Flintshire, Deeside, Chester, Wrexham and the surrounding area.
Who you're dealing with
There's no call centre here and no sales team. The person who comes out to look at your roof is the person who quotes it, and the person who does the work. If you ring the number on this website during the day, you'll probably get an answer from someone on a roof.
That matters more than it sounds. It means nothing gets lost between the survey and the job. It means the price you're given comes from the person who has to stand behind it. And it means when you ask what something involves, you get an answer from someone who's done it several hundred times rather than someone reading from a script.
How we work
We look properly before we quote. Not from the pavement. Where it's safe to get up and look, we get up and look, and where it isn't we find another way of seeing what's actually happening.
We tell you if you don't need the work. Roofing has a reputation problem, and most of it comes from people being told a roof needs replacing when it needs a repair. If your roof has years left in it, we'll say so. We'd rather lose a job than take money for work you didn't need — and in practice, being straight about it is where a lot of our recommendations come from.
You get it in writing. A written quotation setting out what's included, what isn't, what we've assumed, and what would count as additional work. If something turns up once we're started, we stop, show you, and agree a price before carrying on.
We leave the site tidy. Waste goes with us. Ground gets cleared. It's a basic thing, and it's noticeable how often it isn't done.
Reliability starts at the top.
Where the work comes from
A good part of it arrives through recommendation — previous customers, and other trades who've worked alongside us and seen the standard first-hand. Builders don't put their own reputation behind a roofer casually, so those referrals matter to us.
The rest comes from people finding us locally, looking at what we've done, and deciding to get us out for a quotation.

What we take on
Most of our work is domestic — houses, bungalows, extensions and garages. That covers everything from a single slipped tile through to a full strip and re-cover, and all the roofline, chimney, lead and flat roofing work in between.
If a job isn't right for us, we'll say so. There's no sense taking on work we're not the best people for.
We won't knock on your door. If someone turns up unannounced telling you they've spotted a problem with your roof while working next door, be careful — that's a well-worn approach and it rarely ends well for the homeowner. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything, from us or from anyone else.
Judge it on the work.
Every photograph on this website is from a job we've done. There's no stock photography anywhere on the site.
